AOC, leading manufacturer of gaming monitors, launched its premium gaming series ‘AGON’ in 2016. Since then, these screens have won awards across Europe for their achievements and proved to be bestsellers. With options ranging from 24 to 35 inch, curved screens and high refresh rates, AGON monitors have captured the hearts of many gamers.
AOC has now announced new members of the AGON family: the AGON³ series. Monitors in this series have very fast reaction times of half a millisecond and are equipped with new technologies such as High Dynamic Range (HDR). HDR offers excellent clarity and delivers colors with a beautiful contrast. The fast reaction times let gamers keep their momentum in games where fractions of seconds are important.
The first screens from the AGON³ series are AG273QCX and AG273QCG. Both screens are equipped with a curved screen (TN panel) of 27 inches and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Furthermore, the AG273QCX contains a QHD resolution (1440p) and FreeSync2 with HDR. The AG273QCG has a refresh rate of 165 Hz and G-SYNC support instead of FreeSync2 and HDR. The impressive response time is just 0.5ms.
Pricing: The AOC AG273QCX price is around €600, roughly $709; the release date is scheduled for April 2018. The G-Sync version, the AOC AG273QCG, is priced at €700 which is about $827, and availability is scheduled from May 2018.
